By using the EDOF function, images can be captured with an extended depth of field. This technology is particularly useful in product photography to capture small objects with a large depth of field.

Good illumination is an essential component in microscopy to achieve high quality results. Dino-Lite microscopes are equipped with their own illumination, which consists of eight white LEDs in a ring light. Using FLC technology, the LEDs can be individually dimmed or completely switched off to achieve the perfect light for any application. The Polarisation filter is also used for suitable illumination of the specimens. Due to the infinitely variable adjustment, light reflections occurring on the material can be reduced as far as possible.. The microscope has a front cap system that allows it to work completely without a front cap.
