EDOF - extended depth of field
Clear images even outside the normal depth range
Extended depth of field, also known as focus stacking, is a digital imaging technique that combines multiple images taken at different focus distances. These then produce an image with a greater depth of field than the individual source images.
Focus stacking can be used wherever individual images have a very shallow depth of field. The EDOF capture mode can take multiple images with different degrees of sharpness and automatically combine them into one clear image with a click of the mouse. The EDOF images retain the image quality of the original images and can be saved and viewed in the DinoCapture 2.0 software.
*EDOF is only available with EDOF Dino-Lite models and when using DinoCapture 2.0 for Windows.
EDOF is more than photo stacking
Refokus mode: If you right-click, you can select a different focus point in your image. This does not physically move your USB digital microscope out of position.
One-Touc Autofocus: Automatically focus and refocus as long as your subject is within the focus range.
DPQ: Capture depth information with compatible models. Users can gain depth information from the focus shift between two focus planes during live imaging.
